After Carter's haircut the other day, we all went to eat dinner at a chinese resturant. We had talked about "trying to find a treasure" (aka geocaching) afterwards if there was one close by. We all grabbed a fortune cookie on the way out and Landon's said "Seek and you will find". We narrowed our search area down to a line of leeland cypresses. We knew it was a microcontainer, which are very small, and it was probably hanging in one of the trees. These aren't usually hard to find but they take a while. The leelands are dense and have lots of low branches that are all over the place. Well my little geocacher walked right up to a tree and said "There it is!". After Christopher and I both looked for a few minutes, we finally found it too. Seek and you will find.

Carter's First (Real) Haircut
So I've trimmed his mullet and bangs before, but he's never gone to the hair salon and gotten a real cut. My baby boy was getting pretty shaggy. We took him over to a local kids salon tonight for his first haircut.
At first he stared at the woman like, "ummmm...I'm not falling for your dumb bubble trick lady. You're going to have to pull out something better than that!". He fell into the beauty of the bubbles for a split second and was was back to his "please, this is all you've got" attitude.
Then she handed over the golden ticket...the spray bottle full of water. Ta-da! Instant magic. We were all wet at the end of his haircut, especially the stylist, but Carter was still for his cut...and he didn't leave with a chunk missing from his bangs like the kid before us. I felt bad for a second until she told me that she'd rather be wet than get bitten. Okay, I feel better now.
*Also, in the video you hear his new favorite words..."no, mines".
I realized (while writing this) that I didn't get any great after pictures. Here are a couple. You can get the idea of how handsome he is. :)

Don't Give Up On Me
Sorry I've been neglecting you lately. I am still trying to balance my time with my new job as my work schedule has shifted and my commute is a little longer. Plus I am just so exhausted from my full days of learning, I crash after the boys go to bed. I have pictures to post and stories to tell. They will come soon. I promise.

First Day On The Job
I started my new job today and...I LOVE IT! I love company and the people. My group is awesome and we had automatic chemistry. It is a very professional environment. Everything was ready and set up for me when I got there, complete with gifts. I know I made the right decision moving to this company.
One hiccup this morning...I started feeling really nauseated when I got there. I've got some bad allergies going on which always leads to a sinus infection which leads to drainage. I guess I was also nervous. Ummm...I puked in the bathroom as soon as I got there. Yep, new girl puked. Thank goodness no one was in there. How embarrassing.

My Gamers
I've already talked about Christopher, and now Landon, being addicted to gaming. I snapped a few pictures of my boys having a gaming night this past Friday (I let Landon stay up a little past his bedtime so he could play his racing game...my sweet boy was trying to win a pink car for his Mama). I'm definetly going to have to keep strict time constraints on this one...
