Wrenn - Beginning of Aug

These next few (ok, probably like 15) posts will be mostly pictures to catch up to current. There is a ridiculous amount of Wrenn to share (I'm sure you guys don't mind!). She learns new things every day and is just so.darn.cute. It's hard not to snap a quick picture.

Wrenn - 8 months (end of July)

At the end of July, this little one started getting into some things. She found the dog food bowl and was attracted to it like a magnet. She also started sitting up in her crib, which prompted a quick drop of the mattress!

We're coming home from vacation today. I'm writing this even before we've left, but I know it is going to be an amazing, relaxing, and awesome week. And I know I am not going to want to come back. So, here's a picture of a cute baby that is supposed to be napping in her crib but playing instead to make me feel better.

Wrenn's Baby

When we sat baby Oakley (the kiddos' first cousin) in Wrenn's lap, the girl about lost her mind. She loves him. She laughs and smiles when she sees him. And she tries her hardest to get to him. I'm pretty sure #fatbaby just wants to eat him, but just look how happy she is. And how adorable they both are. At just 5 months apart, I'm sure these two are going to make a lot of memories!

Wrenn, Can You Say Dada?

(We're on vacation this week!!!! But I have a few posts scheduled out this week for you. Enjoy! )

Wrenn started saying "dada" the past few weeks. It's been hilarious watching Christopher try to capture it on video. He's so excited and wants to share it on Facebook. But every time he starts recording, she stops. And as soon as he stops trying, she says it.  LOL

Wrenn's Doll

Wrenn was given this baby doll at Christmas, but it's been sitting in the rocking chair in her room. I handed the doll to Wrenn the other day while she was on the changing table. She grabbed the dolly by her pigtails, looked at her, and laughed! Then she kept looking at her, talking to her, laughing, and kissing her.

When I was telling someone at work how much Wrenn likes dolls, they told me she'd make a good mama. <3

Hey Little Ladybug!

July 4th, 2015

For the 4th of July, we went up to Red Hill, Patrick Henry's home, in VA like last year. We ate, listened to music, heard Patrick Henry's 5th great-grandson give his famous "Give me liberty or give me death" speech and read the Declaration of Independence, and watched some fireworks. We even dodged all the storms somehow!

Wrenn fell asleep in my arms right before the fireworks started. She slept through the first 2 or 3 minutes of the fireworks, then started to open her eyes at every boom. Finally, about 5 minutes into the show, she opened her eyes very wide but still facing me in my arms. I sat her up so she could watch the show. She sat as still as could be in my arms, holding onto her blankie with both hands and eyes as wide as saucers watching the fireworks show. She became startled when people applauded at the end. :)

Big Stuff

Now that Wrenn is sitting up well, she is able to ride in the grocery cart and sit in a restaurant high chair. It's like a whole new world for her and she is loving it!
