My boys love the song "Tonight, Tonight" by Hot Chelle Rae. The only words they know are "La La La" and "Tonight, Tonight", but gosh, they sing it cute!

Acorns
The boys and I made the cutest little acorns...well, Landon and I did. Carter just ate kisses! :) These were super easy. We had fun making these on a rainy Saturday morning.
Here's what you need:
Mini Nilla Wafers
Kisses
Pretzel Sticks, snapped in tiny pieces
Chocolate icing (I used a squeeze tube)
Stick the nilla wafer and kiss together with a dab of frosting. Stick the pretzel on the top of the wafer with another dab of frosting (keep the pretzel stick short or it will slide off when drying). Let them dry for about 30 minutes. Enjoy!
So easy and so cute!

First Day of School
Landon went to Kindergarten "orientation" last Thursday. And he LOVED it. When I dropped him off that morning with the YMCA folks (at the school sidewalk), he hopped right out of the car and said "bye, Mommy!" with a big smile. When I picked him up, he had the same smile and said that he loved Kindergarten.
Here's my big boy! (This is outfit number 2 because he spilled his breakfast all down his white polo shirt that morning!)
I decided to pack and send his lunch. His first day lunch consisted of a Lunchable, an apple, carrots, and a juice box. And no lunch would be complete without a note from Mommy! Any ideas for creative lunches?
He starts back full-time this Thursday and is so excited!!!

My Carter Bear
I've have gotten loads of cute pictures of Carter lately. Prepare for cuteness overload.
This boy is a trip at night. He insists on sleeping in his Elmo slippers and snuggles with random things including books, his Thomas flashlight, his Thomas rolling backpack, his vacuum cleaner, among other things. And oh, look at those hands behind his head.
This first window picture is potentially my favorite of him, ever! These capture his innocence and sweetness just perfectly.
I want to eat this baby boy up like a pancake!
I love, love, love how Carter stands with this hands behind his back.
And his latest note from his teacher:
"Carter had a very good day! He sat on the potty for about 10 minutes today pushing trying to make himself poop because Kylie got a cheese ball when she pooped in the potty! This kid is a trip! Oh, and Carter keeps telling me that daddy made a big, big mess."

Annual Bagley Get-together at the Creek
Last weekend, we went up to VA for the annual Bagley family get-together at the creek. The creek is such a beautiful place. I just can't capture its true beauty on camera, but I try.
We have a place at the top of the bank where we cook, eat, and socialize. My FIL, Grayson built stairs down to the creek bed. It is always amazing to see just how much the creek changes year after year.
The kids (and big kids) had a blast playing in the water, throwing rocks, building a dam, and fishing. I also found a quiet moment to enjoy Mother Nature's best.
And of course, no get-together is complete with toasted marshmallows!

Staggered Entry
Landon goes to KINDERGARTEN today! I am considering today his "orientation". The school is splitting the K classes into 4 groups, sending one group each day for the next 4 days. The kids get acclimated to elementary school while the 4 K teachers assess them. After Tuesday's last staggered entry day is done, the teachers decide on the classes. On Wednesday, we go to school to meet his teacher from 11:30-1:00. Then next Thursday is his first official day of school.
He went to school today with his Batman backpack and a packed Spiderman lunch box. He is attending before and after school with the YMCA that actually meets at his school. Crossing my fingers that it goes smoothly for him...and for his mama. This is a big change for all of us.
And a completely unrelated picture of my 3 sweet boys with Grandma's kitty, Mojo.
UPDATE: Landon hopped out of the car, turned back at me, waved and said "Bye, Mommy!" and walked away with the YMCA guy this morning. Tears were shed...but not by Landon. And oh, everyone is telling me that it is not appropriate to call the school to check on him. But I need to know: Did he make it to his class okay? Is he using his manners? Is he playing nicely? Is he showing them how smart he is or clamming up? Has he been able to get his pants down okay to go potty (he insisted on wearing a belt this morning)? Did he do okay going into the big bathroom? Was his breakfast enough to hold him over until lunchtime? Did he get his lunch open okay...he may need help with opening his Lunchable, and make sure he doesn't open his after-school snack that I have labeled appropriately and told him not to eat during lunch. Did he have enough time to eat all of his lunch? And did he rememeber to get the completed form to his teacher (I had it taped on his lunchbox but it kept falling off so I put it inside of his lunchbox)? And did he get to his after-school area okay? And is he scared? Is he lonely? Is he making friends? Did someone help him open his water bottle for his after-school snack...unless he drank it during lunch?

Color Me Happy
My boys love to color. Thank goodness for Color Wonder, otherwise, I would have marker on my floors, walls, sofa and pretty much every other item in my house. Despite all of that, moments like these are so special to me when I can just stop and look at these two little boys that have changed my world. They've colored my heart.
