We celebrated Olive's birthday the day we returned from Northern Va. We stopped in Richmond and went to Build-A-Bear, had ice cream, and walked the outdoor mall. The kids had fun at the fountains and escalator.
Despite almost getting hit by a cell phone that an angry dad threw from the story above, we had a great time!
We love you, Olive! You're 2!

Confetti!
It all started on February 9, 2002. When Christopher and I got married, the cousins thought it would be funny not only to decorate our car, but to put confetti EVERYWHERE. And I mean everywhere. In the AC vents, in our luggage, in every nook and cranny possible. When Christopher had his car worked on years later, they found confetti in the guts of his car. And now, it's an initiation of sorts.
Not only did we decorate the decoy car at the reception hall, we decorated the other car that they left at the church too!
Do these guys look guilty, or what?

Sarah and Shane's Wedding
This past weekend we headed up to Northern Va for cousin Sarah's wedding. It was a lovely day and we were so happy to spend the day with her and family.
Mr. & Mrs. Shane Buzzell
Check out my ridiculously handsome boys (and yes, the look on Carter's face sums up his day perfectly).
Landon and Aunt Christine had a good talk about school.
I L.O.V.E. this picture of Christopher and Olive!
The Wright Family
Carter had been running a fever off and on for a few days. The day of the wedding he was feeling really poopy. He was a good sport; we had a 4.5 hour ride up before we attended the wedding and reception. Finally, he gave in to a snooze in Grandma's lap.
Stay tuned for proof of car decorating (it's kind of our thing...)

Bagley Boy Funnies
Carter: Play nice wif me, Yandon!
Landon: I am!
Carter: Don't you talk a me like dat!
When asked to sit on the potty, Carter replied, "No. I no go potty, Mommy. Cuuuuuuz I too busy."
Also, when talking about potty training, Carter yelled, "I don't wanna go on da potty train!"
Landon looked at my phone and said, "Oh, you're on Twitter." When I asked how he knew, he replied, "because of the bird."
Landon said you get strong when you are really sweaty. O_O

Little Ninja
A few weeks ago, Landon started taking ninjitsu classes, an ancient Japanese martial art. He is studying the Genbukan style (read all about it here). It's a pretty serious and disciplined dojo where they focus on respect and self-defense. He is a natural at it and picks it up so quickly. The sensai (teacher) only accepts kids that can focus and are dedicated; he remarks constantly how proud we should be of Landon.
Be scared. Be very scared. This is one serious ninja.

Solo Parenting
Christopher was in San Diego the past week and I can say, from the other side, that I SURVIVED! Honestly, the boys were angels which made it a piece of cake.
It was hectic in the mornings getting them both up and ready, then off to daycare and elementary school...all before getting myself to work in one piece and by a decent enough time so that I could leave to pick them both up before a certain time.
The nights were lonely even though my pup spooned with me trying to keep me company. The last few nights I let Landon sleep with me so I wouldn't be alone.
I tweeted my plan of action for keeping us all sane, along with the funnies along the way.
Sunday: Trip to Walmart, Landon and I watched Tron while Carter napped, and lots of playtime (there may have been a puddle of toddler pee in the bathroom floor by 8:30 am)
Monday: Met my friend and her son for Mexican
Tuesday: Trip to the park, dinner, and lots of book reading
Wednesday: (Forgot Wacky Wednesday at daycare) Trip to the pet store and dinner at Firehouse Subs - buy one combo, get 2 kids meals free!
Thursday: Played outside in the yard as it was 75 and sunny, easy Spaghetti Os dinner, and Peter Pan
Friday: Fine dining at McDs and a trip to Target
Saturday: (Carter may or may not have slurped water off of the shower floor) Legos, Ninjitsu class, lunch with a friend at the downtown lunch counter/soda fountain, and picked Daddy up from the airport!!!
