Being a Mom of Boys

People ask me all of the time, "Don't you want a little girl?" If you had asked me that 3 years ago, I would have said YES! Now, I can't imagine my life without boys. I am a mom to boys. Mama's boys. There's a special bond between a mama and her son. One that cannot be explained in words. I am raising men. Men that are going to change the world. Men that are going to become kind, caring, strong, providing husbands. Men that are going to become daddies. Daddies that have the strongest muscles in the world. Daddies that can do anything.

I look at these two running in the grass, wild as mustangs, and I smile. I chuckle. My life is so full of joy and energy and dirt. Thank you, God, for giving me these boys. You knew exactly what I needed.

BASF Egg Hunt

And then came the Egg Hunt at Christopher's work. I love the look on Landon's face right before his hunt; he was checking out the competition and formulating his game plan. And finally, I am in front of the camera for once instead of behind it!

Easter Flowers

Christopher's work had an Easter festival that included an egg hunt, food and drinks, an appearance by the Easter Bunny himself, and flower planting. I got so many cute pics of the boys with their flowers (and one of Matt!). A-dor-a-ble!

Yard Ball, Redneck Style

After the Walk, the sun came out so we finished our day with some good ol' fashioned yard ball. This involved us sitting in the front yard in bag chairs watching the boys hit a kick ball with a kid bat. It was rather humorous. Josh broke 2 bats, 1 ball, and possibly dented my van (you owe me, Josh) and Matt, of course, ended up climbing a neighbor's tree.

MS Walk 2012

Rain or shine (and this year, it was rain!), we walk for MS! It may have rained All. Morning. Long but it didn't dampen our spirits. We chilled in the team tent, took our team pic, and proudly walked for Nancy/Mom/Grandma. And even though you can't see our team shirt in any of these pics, we took home Best Team T-shirt award.
