Spitting Image
I came across this picture of my mother-in-law, Nancy. If one wasn't B&W and the other color, I'm not sure if you could pick which is Grandma and which is Carter Bear!

A Wish
Over Thanksgiving, Landon and Christopher broke a wish bone. Of course, Landon had to tell Christopher what his wish was (a Spiderman watch and snow!). I love the surprised look on his face when he made out with the longer piece.
*Not sure why they did it under a table, but Christopher said that was the rule.

A Bad Day
Since August, Landon has been a perfect child at elementary school. His teacher has had nothing but good things to say about him, and he is excelling in his work. Until today...
I got that phone call that every parent dreads. That phone call that starts with, "Hello, Ms. Bagley. This is Ms. Bailey, Landon's teacher." Aw, hell.
Landon had a rough day. He had a hard time keeping his hands to himself (pushing, putting his hands on kid's shoulders, etc.), did not follow directions, hyper, and just could not focus.
I don't know if it was lack of sleep, a reaction to the stress that's been going on in our home lately (being a working mom of two boys with a house to take care of, mouths to feed, and many, many other things to do has been stressful on all of us; tempers are short), or maybe he was just having a bad day.
It was a long night in the Bagley house with many tears shed. I also had Landon write an apology note to his teacher.

It reads:
Ms. Bailey, I'm sorry for touching people. I'm sorry for not listening. I will be good. Landon
Let's pray for a better day tomorrow...

Landon Grace Bagley
My very graceful son wanted to show off his catching skills...or lack thereof. He threw his small, but full, bottle of water in the air and caught it with his face! I'm pretty sure we can mark baseball off of the list of possibilities.
Reminds me of myself in 6th grade. I was a dancer, and a very good one. But I decided to try out for the middle school softball team because that's what the cool kids were doing. I caught a pop fly...with my face. Needless to say, I was the bat girl.

Happy Thanksgiving!
In honor of my most favorite holiday, I am sharing a few lunch box "notes" that I drew for Landon this week. I know, I am no artist but my little man loves to open his lunch box for his surprise notes every day. And lately, I've been finding little notes in my purse that say things like "I LWV U KFN B" (aka I love you Katherine B.).

Little Readers
I am so proud of Landon as he begins to learn to read. This video was recorded a few weeks ago, and he's started to read even more challenging books since.
And it looks like little brother is following in his footsteps (lol).
