Carter's 2 Year Check-Up

Carter's stats at his 2-year check-up:

Height: 33.5 inches (25%)
Weight: 27.1 pounds (35%)
Head Circumference: 47.5 centimeters (20%)

His doctor pointed out that his bottom teeth are very close together, almost crooked so that we'll want to take him to the dentist soon and make sure those get flossed. Do I see braces in our future for that one?

Carter is doing so well with his vocabulary, even putting together 4 word sentences. He is learning his shapes (he asks me to draw a circle all of the time), his colors, and numbers (his teacher sent a note home saying that he counted to 12 - repeating the teacher, I'm sure). He has many animals and their sounds down-pat.

His moods go from sweet to evil and back to sweet like the flip of a switch, which we are told is normal for this age. He likes to throw and hit things when he gets mad, and when I tell him that he is not acting nicely, he asks "Time out?".

He loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Thomas the Train, Handy Manny, and "Poo-Poo Bear" (aka Pooh Bear).

And his big brother is the coolest boy that ever walked this Earth in his eyes. He copies everything that Landon does.

Random Fun at the Beach

In no particular order...

Me and my love on the beach

When did this boy get so big?

Crazy Carter in Aunt Ashley's headband

The elevator ride up to our room was always an interesting one; one knocked loudly back and forth (we were even warned by residents not to take one of them as it gets stuck!).

We enjoyed many of Carolina Beach's famous sno-cones (what's up with Carter's new Popeye smile?)

Christopher and Mike doing what they do best...gaming!

Crazy little Olive

Boogie boarding and getting wiped out!

People-watching with Grandpa

Hanging out on the luggage cart

The girls rode in the back of the pick-up all week.

Discovering the sound of the ocean in seashells

This is what I call EXHAUSTED from fun at the beach.

Apparently I make some weird faces! LOL

A Day at the Beach

Christopher, me and the boys met Grandma and Grandpa Bagley, Aunt Ashley, Beth, Mike and Olive at Carolina Beach for a week of sun and fun.

Landon loved jumping in the ocean waves, building lots of sandcastles and deep holes, and swimming in the pool. Carter, well, Carter would have rather stayed inside I think. He wasn't very fond of the ocean waves and wanted no part of standing in them, and he wasn't a huge fan of the sand. He did enjoy playing and splashing in holes that we dug (every dang day) and in the pool. The boys really enjoyed the time with the family (as did we) and already miss them immensely.

Here are some pictures from the beach and pool.

We're back!

I am feeling so refreshed after our week at the beach, and a little overwhelmed with all of the things to get caught up on like stuff at work, laundry, housework, my shows on the DVR, and blogging.

I have narrowed my beach pics down to about 60! Yes, I said 60! When your kids are this stinkin' cute, it's hard to cut back. So be prepared for pictures for about a week!
